Almost both are similar but IIT Mandi EE should be much better than DTU SE in terms of placements.

DTU conducts the LEET exam for lateral entry admission in different branches of the Bachelor in Engineering course. With a rank higher than 10,000, you have fewer chances to get admission, especially if you belong to the Open category. The reason is that according to the seat matrix, there are around 2514 seats available for lateral entry, out of which only 915 are open seats. Therefore, with 44,000 ranks and 74% in the 12th Board, you may not get admission to DTU considering the level of competition for admission there.

Well, most of the chemical engineering branch has been placed in its industry and for the analyst roles only, and thanks to that, the average is 12LPA. If you are particularly determined for the chemical roles then some PSUs also come for placements and they offer a Grade E2 job which is around 16LPA.

As we already know a degree from IIT itself a far more prestigious than other colleges meant for all the branches. As IIT Ropar is ahead of IIT Mandi, Ropar receives more funding from the central government has a large number of tie-ups and collaborations with foreign universities and organizations internships, and studies all things are better in IIT Ropar. So I must suggest you could choose Ropar as a priority.
