Hello,
Mathematics is very much compulsory for DU JAT. You should have Maths, either as additional subject (6th) or optional subject (5th). It is compulsory only for BMS, BBA FIA and BBE.

Basically, mathematics is very important for DU JAT and you also need to have a good score in maths.

If you can afford to sacrifice one year on preparation, then you can do it. But you should also keep a backup option ready.

Check last year's cutoff (Ist, IInd. ), from that you will get an idea about your chances, because this year's cutoff will be almost similar to that of previous years. Also, keep working on your other options. If you get DU, then nothing is better than this. But, even if you don't make it, then there is nothing to worry, because it is not everything, you must have backup options.
