If the student has chosen a programme that is more than 6 months in length, then they must hold a valid study permit to study at Durham College. The student can work off-campus if they are registered as a full-time student at Durham College. The college also offers co-op study permit if the student has a co-op or placement or internship. The student can also apply for a work permit after post-graduation where they can get the permission to continue staying in Canada and work full-time up to 3 years.

The application fee for all international applicants is CAD 110 and is non-refundable. After the application has been submitted online, the applicant will receive a confirmation email from the college. Applicants will also receive another email within 14 business days. The applicants will receive an admission offer in maximum 3 weeks through mail.

With an acceptance rate of 41%, the university is not selective when it comes to admission. Durham University is part of the Russel Group Universities which enjoys the UK's own 'Ivy League' status. When we compare Durham's admission process then it is quite easy to get into Durham in comparison to other major Russel Group universities like Cambridge, UCL, or Oxford.
