India has around 21 Earth Science colleges and these colleges offer the courses on various levels. So, the course fee depends on the course level, type, specializations, and more. However, the average course fee ranges between INR 2,400 to INR 3.84 Lakh.

Earth Science is a multi-disciplinary and it includes a number of specializations such as Astronomy, Oceanography, Meteorology, and Geology. However, the the easiest among them is Geology. Under Geology, you'll get to study Earth's processes, materials, and history, geology often involves learning about rocks, minerals, and tectonic plate movements. And, students usually find this subject more manageable, particularly when compared to other lab-intensive sciences.

While Maths play a major role in Earth Science including topics like matrix manipulation, systems of linear equations, least-squares, Taylor series, gradients, optimization, analytic and numerical solutions to differential equations. It is still not a mandatory subject while opting for an Earth Science course. However, it may limit your learning and career prospects.

Hi, The Global Open University in Nagaland is the only university that offers M.Sc. in Earth Science course on distance mode. It's a distance PG degree of 2 years. They study the history of the planet and maintains notes of the changes that are made on a regular basis. An Earth Scientist is also responsible for studying the universe and the Earth’s position inside it.
