Editing and Proof Reading of Language Content is related to Office Communication and do have jobs with the Government. However, this must be noted and should be known before an answer is supplied to this question, whether one is doing a Degree in the subject or merely a Diploma. Company Secretary and Office Secretary also need the skills taught in the purview of the course mentioned. Hey Pradeep,
This is a question that affects your career choice for life, so are you sure that film editing is where you see yourself in the future. If it is truly your passion then let your parents know and try to convince them, if they don't understand, it's still your decision and just go with it. Collect money and join an institution for Diploma in film editing, after that you must go and find a small production firm and apply your skills to grow and learn with hands-on experts. But, initially, you won't be making money and that's an important part because it's not important, if your passion drives you, you will make it through.
