To be an educationist or an academician, you need to take up degrees like B.Sc/B.Com/B.A hons preferably from which ever stream you wish. Once you have done that you can go for Master's in the same subject. If you wish to join universities, you need to take NET and for this p.hd is also better. For schools, you will pursue B Ed or B.El.ed for elementary school teaching.
There could be other roles also possible in education these days.

Public policy program focuses on developing professionals who are equipped with nuances of public policy to confront issues that government faces on a day to day basis. Institutions that provided public policy related courses are St. Xavier's, IIPA, IIM-Bangalore, UPES and Department of Politics and Public Administration.

You can go for MBA in marketing, finance and HR. every sector has these three requirements.
