There might be some preparation gap or some problem for your backlogs and you are the best judge for it. Analyze and work on the solution and definitely you need to put in lot of effort as you have the clear current semester exams and the backlogs as well.

Currently, Indian IT industry is an industry which is creating maximum new jobs for last 10 years. As per NASSCOM, this trend will continue for some more time. Therefore, CSE has edge over ECE for some more years in terms of job opportunities.

Both CSE and ECE are good branches with similar opportunities. ECE is core branch of engineering and you can work in Electronics, Telecommunications and IT industry. Therefore, in order to have wider choices to opt after 4 years, I will recommend NSIT ECE over IIIT CSE.
