Hello Vasantha, The NET Exam is conducted for the lectureship in the colleges and universities and for junior research fellowship award. The NET Exam is held by different agencies for different stream candidates. The CSIR NET is conducted for the Science stream candidates while UGC NET is for Arts and commerce field. Candidates who have completed the post graduation degree from the recognised university are eligible to apply for the NET exam. I will suggest you to get into Thiagaraja in EEE. They have good teaching facility. You can get admission there, as EEE is a core branch, so you will get a lot opportunities in future. Good luck.

Yes, you can surely join NIT Rourkela, here the package and the placement both are good enough in NIT Rourkela. Both the colleges are good, but NIT R is better. As you got a good rank, you can easily get admission in NIT Rourkela. The closing rank for NITR for admission in electrical engineering is 11271. NIT, Rourkela is one of the best engineering colleges in India.
