The BITS HD (Higher Degree) exam is conducted by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani for admission into various M.E. /M.Pharma programmes offered at its campuses. NITs and IIITs are difficult to get at this percentile. You have to score above 95 percentile in upcoming JEE Main April exam for NITs and IIITs.

In general, it is difficult to get admission in NITs and IIITs with AJEE Main percentile of 77, especially for popular branches such as Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics, and Mechanical Engineering. ME, ECE, EE are core branches. They are perfect if you want to study software plus hardware things. And mainly if you want to go in government job you should choose these streams. But if you want to go at software companies you should choose CSE branch.

IIIT Allahabad ECE would be better. Honestly speaking here the colleges we are talking about are of very different standards. Although NIT Silchar is very underrated still it stands nowhere in front of IIIT Allahabad. You will ultimately need to learn concepts of CSE be it any branch in order to be competitive and updated.
