Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (POLYCET) is an entrance exam conducted for admission into Diploma courses in engineering and non-engineering streams in various Polytechnic colleges in Telangana. However, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EIE) is a Bachelor's degree programme offered by engineering colleges and not Diploma colleges. Therefore, you will have to appear for the Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) or any other relevant entrance exam for admission into EIE in Telangana engineering colleges.

Hi Honey, All the branches of engineering are equally good and have tremendous job opportunities. Branch of engineering is based on your own interest. No one can suggest you. You must think of which engineering is good for me and in which engineering you can do Excel or well. And CSE is much better than instrumentation in the context of India.

Both are almost the same in case of difficulty level, it depends in which stream you have more interest. Opt for the branch that you love the most and are most passionate about and analyze the future work conditions, scope and growth prospects before taking admission.
You can also opt for psychometric test comprising of aptitude, personality and career interest to clear confusion.
