Both the courses are very good at BITS Hyderabad. The college has excellent infrastructure, faculty members and laboratories to give sound pedagogy to students. Both the courses can help you go places in your streams if you are honest in your study. Many students take up different electives to go for an IT related jobs for higher paychecks. However, it depends on you, what you want to achieve using this opportunity. The placements in Electrical and Mechanical courses are not as lucrative as CSE, but definitely at par with any good engineering institute of India. Best Wishes.

70% students got internship.
Infrastructure: I think our infrastructure is the best in Wes Bengal. There are Wi-Fi facilities in college. Full centralized AC building, lab, classroom and library. Good medical facilities and games and sports are available in the college. Classroom and lab quality is so good.

Let's come to question since you have done good in JEE Mains but even though you are lacking. I guess you could't GET good NIT but keep on trying. You might GET it. One thing I would to suggest you that keep yourself motivating and work hard for other exams because I guess you could do better in other exams so focus and do good.

There are many colleges that accept lateral entry in second year for engineering. You need to have completed a diploma course from any recognised Polytechnic College with percentage marks as per AICTE norms for securing admission.
