Hello Maulik,
Canada is not a tech blooming spot. So, its always hard to find a proper placement. Their education laws and opportunities are more like Indian and Chinese. So, options in Canada are not much different from India.

Get involved in a lot of project works, research activities, workshops, seminars etc. which will help you showcase your intellect, interest and skills. Focus on your academics but a university like MIT are looking for all-rounders. So even if your grades are good but you have nothing special about your profile chances of admissions are less. Your co-curricular activities need not necessarily be into academics. You must also prepare for the GRE. All the best.
