Current doesn't obey laws of vector addition though it has a direction. it follows algebraic addition,so current is a scalar.

After B.Tech in Electrical Engg, you can appear for GATE exam. Getting a good rank in GATE can help you achieve a good job in PSUs and also for pursuing MTech degree in IITs and NITs and IISc.
Also you enter into NPTI and get a diplmo degree in power training and you can also pursue Power management courses.

Hi Arbaz, while 2 years PG Diploma is hard to find. Below are some of the colleges which offer 2 year PG Diplomas or atleast 18 months duration . You must however check the colleges for program availability.
Thompson River University
North Island College
Humber College
George Brown College
