What are the chances of MS admission after 15 backlogs in engineering?
Hi. Please don't feel demotivated by your backlogs. I understand and accept the fact that 15 is indeed a big number. Considering you attended a top 10 ranked college in India, you still have good chances, provided you make up for your backlogs (and CGPA) with an extremely good GRE/TOEFL. Moreover, you still have your LORs and SOP in your hand at the moment, which play a very crucial role in the decision. If you manage to get an LOR from your dean/program manager, who would have seen you clear your backlogs, it would be nothing like it! It would obviously be tough for

I think you have asked for fee structure in APC ROY POLYTECHNIC. As you might be aware that it is an Tier 1 Govt. Polytechnic college in Kolkata offering Diploma Engineering in 6 different disciplines.
As far my experience, Admission fees is roughly around (850 to 1000 Rs.) per year and 250Rs. is taken per semester.
If you are from TFW quota, then you might recieve discounts on admission fee and semester fees as well.
So that is it basically. If you face any queries feel free to ask me.

Well I wouldnot add to anything about IIT Mandi or Jodhpur as it has been done in the previous answers. Regarding Branch Change Let me warn you that the subjects taught in the IITs is nothing like what was taught in JEE. Also, given the new found freedom, distractions are bound to come and so it depends upon you and YOU ENTIRELY as to whether your branch gets changed or not. I would personally recommend IIT Mandi as the branch change rules are lenient there and in a year 20 students changed their branch to CSE. Peace.

No, it's not possible to change the branch in engineering as Computer Science after completion of Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Candidates who have studied Diploma in Computer Science or Diploma in Information Technology (3 years duration) are only eligible to apply for BE or B.Tech in Computer Science course. We can study BE or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering after completion of Diploma in Electrical Engineering. The admission to the course will be done through a lateral entry entrance examination. Therefore, the field for the degree course should be determined during admission to the Diploma programme.
