After your Diploma, you can join B.Tech in your state colleges through lateral entry. There are some entrance exams conducted by your state to get into the course. There many more courses like piping, etc. that you can do after Diploma.

As ECE engineer you can be employed in any industry as Operations & Maintenance engineer. In addition, you can work in Electronics manufacturing companies, Telecom service providers, Indian Engineering Services, Central and State Government jobs where eligibility criteria is graduation degree, Defence Services, Paramilitary forces, R& D organisations such as DRDO/ ISRO etc, IT companies, PSUs, Org such as NIC/CDAC/NISG etc, Networking engineer jobs and acedmics etc. ECE engineers can work in design of new system. It us one of the field where there are maximum opportunities for innovation.
