Actually, Mechatronics is bit tough than Electronics, because Mechatronics is an interdisciplinary branch which comprises of mechanical, electronics and computer Science in order to improve the functionality of system. But, in modern engineering era, I will personally like to suggest you to go for mechatronics rather than Electronics branch, because engineering is all about exploring new fields and in this mechatronics field, in future there will be plenty of opportunities.

Hi Bala,
Please mention your specialization in Diploma in mechatronics. In general, it is a peculiar branch and a tough one to pursue.
And its not like mechatronics is just a combination of mechanical and ECE and bit electrical. You will have knowledge about all dis branches so job opportunity is more but its not a core branch. Not very sure of the placements from this branch but all i can say is if you look at at he placements perspective , rather can opt to go for General B.Sc in electronics as it is more easily available and placements chances are also high.
