It depend a lot on your interest as both the streams are relevant and demanding. Both institutions has brand tag of IIT. Scope wise both are equally good. Each branch has some advantage and disadvantage. For e. g chemical engineering may skip your chances of appearing in IES. I will suggest you to take decisions based on interest and future goal. There is MBA-IT but not MBA-EC. In any case, the most important thing about MBA is the grade of the college and its capability to provide good placement facilities. Unless you choose a MBA college which is under CAT CMAT MAT or XAT its not going to be fruitful.
