Hi Aayush,
Lambton is a reputed college and has good contacts with several companies for its co-op options. Chances are good but getting a job will completely depend on your own skills and academic performance. Where you do your internship and how well you perform will be very important. Check with Lambton for career assistance before enrolling.

Currently, placements in IT industry is better in comparison to embedded systems. However, IT industry has started showing an early sign of decline because of outcry against outsourcing in the Western world. Therefore, I will recommend you that you opt for your core engineering in embedded systems.

Hi Maris,
A MS in Embedded Systems is difficult to find, it will be mostly included as a specialization for a MS ECE program. But, you should check the following, they are also a PG level programs.
Graduate Certificate - Electronics and Embedded Systems Development by Fanshawe College
Graduate Certificate in Embedded system development is offered by Conestoga College
There is another one at Lambton College:

Hello Vipin,
It's good to know that you are doing BE. No, your 2-year drop will not matter at all if you desire to pursue study in VLSI. If there is a break in studies, we sometimes tend to loose thread of studying. However, as famously said 'where there is a will, there is a way'. Just do not worry and go ahead. Best wishes.
