Hi buddy, MD Emergency Medicine. Pros - the most recognisable degree in EM right now, job pretty much guaranteed, can become Medical Faculty. Cons - highly volatile, can get recognised at any time, not many clear cut training programs. Very few MCI recognised programs in the country right now. DNB Emergency Medicine. Pros - More stable than MD EM, can become faculty, training programme more definite and fixee. To pursue anesthesiology, one needs a strong background in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Like any other physician, Anesthesiologists too require a long period of medical training. After 10+2 one has to apply to medical colleges to pursue MBBS degree, admission to which is based on scores of entrance test and marks of plus two. Next step after MBBS is one year house surgency followed by M.D in anesthesiology which is usually of 2 years duration.

Diploma in Emergency Medicine program is generally taught in post graduation level. In India, institutes such as, Apollo Hospital, Christian Medical College and CMC, Vellore offers this diploma program. But candidates must completed graduation first to study this program. Candidates who have completed MBBS, BDS, BPT, BNYS, B.Sc(Nursing), B.A.M.S., B.U.M.S., B.Sc(Emergency Care & Trauma Care & Technology) and B.H.M.S. are only eligible to study Diploma in Emergency Medicine. Any candidate of D.H.M.S are also eligible to study only if possess certificate from Homeopathic Council.
