Hello Shivraj,
You need to be very clear about all the concepts of Physics and Mathematics. There's no escape for those subjects as far as engineering is concerned. If you are thinking about chemical engineering, petrochemical engineering, etc. Then you have to dedicate yourself towards Chemistry also. If you do it now it'll not trouble you during the engineering course. Do not panic, just be focused and dedicated. Good luck.

There are two ways to join as a lateral entry student:
1. After Diploma, you can apply through counseling, which will be conducted at Alagappa Chettiyar University, Karaikudi. Counseling call depends on your Diploma final year percentage. If you received a call for the first day counseling or topped with a rank of at least below 10, you're almost have a chance to get a seat at PSG Tech. Your final year percentage should be more than 96 if you're a general category applicant. For BC/MBC it should be more than 94%. For SCA/SC/ST more than 92 is enough.
2. Throw' management quota. Fees for this entry may depends on the branch of engineerin

Tamil Nadu is the state, which abolished entrance exam for engineering last year. From last year onwards, the qualifying exam has been declared as class 12th. The marks will be brought down out of 200, and the merit list will be prepared. This is for the seats available for government colleges and private colleges. Deemed universities located in Tamil Nadu have the option of having their own entrance exam, and you will have to appear for one such exam, if you are interested in admission in any of these deemed universities. Of course, over and above this, there is a management quota, which is filled by these private institutions by diff

Hello Vidhya, To get into a good reputed college you need to give some entrance exams like JEE Mains and Advance (for IIT's, NITs and IIITs). Then comes the entrance exams of some private universities like VIT, BITS, KIIT, UPES, SRM and DTU. Then there are some universities which take admission based on your JEE Mains marks like Thapar University, Amity Noida, LNMIIT, HBTU many more. Then there are state level entrance exams of every state. Good luck!
