The Government of India is reconsidering to conduct a Common Entrance Test for admissions engineering collegesacross the country from 2018. A final decision rests on theassessment on the impact of theNational Eligibility cum Entrance Test held on the 7th May, 2017. Some state Governments are not in agreement with the proposal.

You are eligible to seek lateral entry admission in B.Tech 2nd year after B.Sc. Engineering colleges conduct their own lateral entry admission for Engineering. Some States conduct exam named LEET for Lateral entry admission in engineering.

Mechanical engineering no doubt has a better scope as compared to aeronautical and is also considered as an evergreen branch.

Placements depend on student efforts, exposure, and skills which he has gained during his graduation period.
