Generally, software engineers get better salary in comparison to Network engineer. With increased Infrastructure outsourcing to Indian IT companies this trend is slowly reversing.

If during degree course student had good exposure to Networking then companies may consider him or her for Networking internship.

I suggest you two options for you to work on aircrafts : (a) Do inter disciplinary MTech in Aeronautical Engineering. (b) Join Indian Air Force in Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical ) branch as Technical officer. IAF will train you in Aeronautical Engineering.

Complete your +2 level with good marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics.
Sit for the entrance examinations conducted by various private and public bodies. Then complete a four year degree course in mechanical, electronics, metallurgy, electrical or chemical engineering.
