MCA after BCA is equal to B.tech degree so don't be worried if you don't go through with a B.Tech degree. As an alumnus of LPU, I feel proud to answer this question. I was a student in the B.Tech CSE of 2012 batch, the knowledge that I gained while my course duration has helped me a lot in shaping my career. I am currently working as an Application Development Analyst in Accenture, Noida. To begin with, LPU provides a lot of options in engineering only. It is one of the most highlighted courses. Hello Pranita Pingale, if i may ask, after having spent four years obtaining degree of engineering in mechanical branch, why switch to civil? Of course you may have your own reasons. Let me clarify that UGC has not allowed any professional course to be delivered via distance education mode. Hence if any institute is offering, you must insist in knowing status of approval by UGC & AICTE.
Best wishes to you.

He eligibility for the B.Tech programme varies from institute to institute. For example, some universities provide admission with 50% or 60% minimum in the 12th class. Being an alumnus of LPU I would like to tell you that you should have a minimum of 60% marks in the 12th class with mandatory subjects English Math, and Physics. Moreover, you need to qualify for the LPU NEST exam conducted by LPU. If you have not studied English as a subject, then you must have to provide proof of medium of instruction in English from your school or college. LPU offers B.Tech in various programmes such as CSE, EE, ECE, ME, CE, Automobile, Chemi

Yes, you are eligible for engineering as JEE Mains has removed the criteria of minimum 75%. Hence, you can apply in autonomous colleges irrespective of the percentile obtained in JEE Mains. You will be allotted the branch according to the marks obtained.
