First you should choose PCM in class 11th and after 12th, you should give JEE exam and many different engineering entrance exam conducted by various private college.

It depends. In the present India's economic environment the earnings of Mechanical engineers depend largely on the following verticals. QUALIFICATION:
1) B.Tech- 25-30k for freshers and ~50k after 4+ years experience.
2) M.Tech- 50-60k for freshers and ~80k after 4+ experience. COLLEGE: (for B.Tech freshers, pvt. Cos. )
1) 45-60k for Class-A college.
2) 25-30k for Class-B college.
3) 12-22k for Class-C college. NATURE OF ADMINISTRATION:
1) Private organisation- Same pattern as Qualification.
2) Government: (for B.Tech freshers, excl. Training, excl. Annual allowance, as per 6th pay)
1) Maharatna- ~65k
2) Navranta- ~52k
3) Miniratna- ~37k.

The government job options after Polytechnic includes-
Junior Engineer, IT Assistant, PSU jobs, Clerk, Technician, etc. BSNL, BHEL, GAIL, Railways, ONGC, DRDO, IPCL, PSU, etc. The last job option for the students after Polytechnic is to start their own company and become self- employed.

First year is all about gaining new knowledge and getting used to your new surroundings. If a student wants to do well in engineering, he should prepare for his exams in advance and make sure he has completed his assignments on time. Student must focus on his studies and not on any extra activities.
