A mechanical engineering is a technical field and it doesn't require any knowledge related to finance or accounting that is your wish and upto you only that if you want to go for MBA as a edge over that, that will help and excel the overall skills in a management field as well. He/she must be familiar with finance only then he/she can get the job.

It is you who has to introspect yourself in which field, you want to make career and if we compare both mechanical and CSE then I would suggest you to go with CSE rather than mechanical because with every business and organisation going digital, IT sector today is a booming field as compared to other sectors and there is a huge demand of computer Science engineers and programmers.

Hello Admit Kumar, Lateral entry entrance exam is invariably based on syllabus of Diploma. Right? As you have passed Diploma a student only needs to brush up.
