Yes, you can get lateral entry admission in B.Tech Mec at LPU, Eligibility for admission for 2020 batch is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (Engg.) (any stream). On inquiring for my niece from the counsellors of LPU, I came to know that in order to take admission in Lateral entry B.Tech, you need to meet the eligibility. The eligibility is pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (engineering. ). (any stream) 3 years after 10th or 2 years. After 10+2 (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or BCA or equivalent. LPU NEST is not mandatory but still you can appear for the scholarship. LPU do offer scholarship to provide financial assistance to the students:
1. On the basis of marks in previous class
2. LPU conducts Lovely professional university national entrance and scholar

If you are first year of engineering student than why you have doubt about in getting admission in 2nd year? Its very simple when you will passed your both semesters of first year than you will be get promoted automatically in 2nd year of your engineering course.
However if you wants transfer to MCOE in 2nd year, than first get confirmation from the MCOE regarding this. Because this is the case of transfer between the two different Universities. So first obtained the No objection certificate from the MCOE than apply for transfer in your parent University.
