After Diploma, one can directly apply for second year engineering in any Engineering College. But, you must clear your Lateral Entry entrance Examination of the concern university. So, go ahead to for Lateral Entry entrance examination with that entrance merit score you can apply in any reputed engineering college for your admission. Wish you all the best.

Of course you are eligible. As a matter of fact, its predominantly Diploma holders who are given lateral admission into second year of engineering directly. Hence please do not have any doubts. Best wishes to you.

Of course, you are eligible to seek admission under lateral mode after completion of your Diploma. This is subject to other condition like age, etc. I feel you must apply immediately without wasting any time.
