Because, many universities conduct the Entrance examination or on the basis of JEE-Mains Score card. If you have not given any entrance exam or not qualified the JEE-Mains exam yet you can take the admission on the percentage basis in class 12th Exam. The best way to predict a college through JEE Mains score is using shiksha college predictor. After that, just go for the counselling of that college. You may also choose a private college like BITS-Pilani, SRM, VIT, SKIT-Jaipur, Galgotias, Sharda University, LPU and NIRMA.

Yes indeed, students from other states too can get admission in colleges in Tamil Nadu. You will have to register on the portal of Anna University for this purpose. You may do the Diploma in engineering and then enter second year for engineering.

The B.Tech lateral scheme is available at IPU-GBSIU for Diploma engineering and B.Sc degree holders students only. Hence, You are not eligible for B.Tech lateral admission.
