AMU take admission through LEET but you can get admission in 1st year. You can take admission in HBTU-Kanpur, IET-Lucknow or MMU-Gorakhpur.

Most of the colleges conduct entrance exams like UPTU, Thapar, SLIET, Jamia and IPU but some colleges/universities give admission on the basis of Diploma score.

Yes, Guru Nanak Dev Engineering-Ludhiana is the best college for lateral entry. It also has evening shift. I am also doing lateral B.Tech here.

All the lateral entry exams for various universities are conducted in April but some colleges conduct them in June.

The total seats in UPTU are around 1000-1500 for lateral entry. If you are under 1500 rank then you can get admission in government colleges.
