First of choosing IT department is a great decision Ria. Yes, you'll get admission easily in 1st or second round. I'll suggest you to fill some good colleges above RGIT in preference form like VIT, DJSCOE . They are good colleges than RGIT.

Admission has nothing to do with the 12th marks. It totally depends on the JEE score. All the best.

You have to clear cutoff for the eligibility for any state or Madhya Pradesh B.Tech counseling. No worries about attending counselling. A student did not cross cut-off mark means that he is not eligible to appear in JEE Advanced. If a student doesn't qualify, depending on his marks (after normalization), he is provided a rank, for suppose, let us consider the rank provided by you I. e.27000. With this rank, you can get a seat somewhere in an NIT (Though, not the best NIT, but just an NIT). You will be able to attend counselling and the only thing is that, you are not eligible for Advanced.

The percentage required in qualifying exam is 60% and JEE Mains for most of the engineering institutes. However, the required percentage criterion depends on the college. IITs consider JEE Advanced.
There are several entrance exams in India at national and state level. Among them, JEE Mains is the most sought-after engineering entrance test. Some private institutes like BITS Pilani, VIT, LPU University etc. conduct their separate entrance test.
