JEE prep rank of 2453 for an ST candidate is quite good to get an IIT. Generally to secure admission to newer IITs, candidates typically need to attain a rank higher than 4500 in JEE Advanced. So as you have a good score in your prep exam, you have a good chances of getting an IIT. Although your selection depends on various other factors such as your score in the JEE Advanced exam and your relative ranking within your category.

With a 66.6 percentile in JEE Mains, securing admission to the Computer Science Engineering (CSE) branch at top NITs may be challenging, as the cutoff for CSE is usually quite high. However, there are still some options:Lower NITs or IIITs: While the top NITs like NIT Trichy, NIT Warangal, or NIT Calicut generally require a higher percentile (around 90+), you may have a chance at newer or lower-ranked NITs where the cutoff could be lower.Branch Flexibility: You might consider exploring other branches of engineering at these NITs, as CSE is highly competitive. Branches like Mechanical or Civil could have a relatively lower cutoff.Home S

Newer NITs and IIITs: Some newer NITs and IIITs may have higher cutoffs, potentially accommodating candidates with ranks up to 70,000. However, securing a seat in CSE or EE at these institutions with a 72,000 OBC rank is still uncertain.Private engineering colleges often have more flexible admission criteria. Institutions like Manipal University, VIT University, and LPU may offer CSE and EE programs with a 94 percentile, though it's essential to verify their specific admission requirements.
