Securing a place in SASTRA University may pose some challenges with a 64 percentile in JEE Mains and 77% in your CBSE board exams. Admission is usually very high on JEE Mains score for direct admissions due to the specific standard set by the university, but it may be possible to gain admission through the CBSE board for direct counseling. The eligibility in this case will depend on the cutoffs which change for each academic year. So, it is better to either check out its official admission site or contact them for directed advice.

Yes, you are still eligible to take the JEE Main exam, even if you belong to the general category and have scored less than 75% in your 12th board exams. However, there are some key points to consider: Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main: 1. Age Limit: Candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1999 (for the 2024 exam).  2. Qualifying Exam: You should have passed your 12th board exam or an equivalent examination in 2022 or 2023. If you are appearing in 2024, you are also eligible to appear for JEE Main.  3. Minimum Marks Requirement (for JEE Advanced Eligibility): To be eligible for JEE Advanc

With a 92.98 percentile in JEE Mains Jan 2024 and belonging to the SC category, securing admission to the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) branch at NITs is possible, but it depends on specific factors like the NIT and cutoffs for that year. Typically, SC category cutoffs for NITs may range between 80-100 percentile, but the closing rank varies. It's advisable to monitor the official JEE Mains counselling and NIT cutoff updates for a clearer picture.

Several universities in the Delhi/NCR region offer Aerospace Engineering programs with admission processes that may not require JEE or CUET scores. For instance, Amity University in Noida and Gurugram campuses consider candidates based on 12th-grade performance and may conduct their own entrance exams or interviews. Similarly, Lovely Professional University (LPU) offers a B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering, admitting students through its own entrance test, LPUNEST, or based on 12th-grade marks.

With an 81 percentile in JEE Main, your chances of getting admission into NITs or IIITs can vary depending on the specific institute, course, and category. Typically, a percentile of 81 is on the lower end for top NITs and IIITs, but there are chances for admission to some NITs or newer branches of NITs and IIITs, especially for OBC category students. You may have a better chance for institutes with lower closing ranks or in branches with lower demand. It's recommended to check the previous year's closing ranks and participate in the counseling process to explore the best options.
