Generally, Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology (KNIT) admits students to its B.E. / B.Tech courses primarily based on their performance in the JEE Main exam. However, there may be an option for admission through the management quota or institute-level counseling, where a few seats may be offered without the requirement of JEE Main scores. This would depend on the policies of the institute and the availability of such seats. It is recommended to contact the admissions office of KNIT directly for specific details regarding non-JEE Main admission routes, eligibility criteria, and any additional requirements for the management quota.

In JEE Main 2024, you must receive roughly 170-190 points in order to earn a SC category rank of 2000. A percentile of approximately 99.0-99.3 can be correlated with a rank in this range based on past trends. This can change annually, though, depending on the quantity of applicants, the difficulty of the paper, and other variables. Remember that different institutes may have different exact cutoffs.

No, CUSAT (Cochin University of Science and Technology) does not admit students solely through the CAT (Common Admission Test). For most undergraduate programs, CUSAT conducts its own entrance exam called the CUSAT-CAT. However, for some courses like MBA, admissions are based on the CAT scores, while other courses may consider various eligibility criteria, including marks in qualifying exams and performance in university-specific entrance tests.

With a rank of 7308 in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, gaining admission to the Computer Science Engineering (CSE) branch at any of the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) can be quite competitive.
