Your daughter can follow one of the paths. First, she can appear for JEE Mains. There are many centers outside India also. Else, she can appear for the entrance exam of the state of which your husband has the domicile.

Hello Srinivasa,
Your query is okay. But unfortunately, you will have to seek admission in only your state since other states do not allow students of other states to get admission. Of course, there will be NITs & IITs in your state where you can take admission.

Hello Pramod,
The best engineering college, without doubt, is IIT-Mumbai. Of course, you can study there. Just work hard to get very good marks in 12th, JEE Mains and then JEE Advanced.

Job opportunities for fresh engineers is presently absymally poor. As per report of HRD ministry more than 50% young Graduates are remaining jobless. So will be case with mechanical engineering Graduates also.

This dilemma of reaching to a conclusion of choosing a branch is the one faced by a lot of students who appear for various engineering entrance exams. Engineering is nothing but making you visualize what goes on in the background when certain phenomenon happens and improvisation of such systems and if you don't have an eye for it, you might face a lot of difficulties in the branch you choose because all the branches in engineering are equally challenging.
And, one more thing, just in 12th standard you think that some area is interesting and you should choose it, then think of it and definitely consult your seniors.
