Hello Gauri Prayag, let me first apprise you about the admission process in Maharashtra for engineering colleges. All admissions including to COEP, are based on ranking in MHTCET. This exam is yet to be conducted. Hence there is nothing like the latest cutoff. Since cutoff or closing ranks available are of last year and they can not change midway. Ok? Having said this, it must be said that this institution ranks very high in minds of students and as a result, admissions close at a very high percentile. COEP is the premier engineering college in the state of Maharashtra. As a result of this, the admissions close at relatively very high closing ranks. It is understood that the closing rank in CSE could be as low as 150. However, from this year on the words, the Government of Maharashtra has announced that a combination of marks in 12th and marks in MHT CET will decide the ranking of student. This ruling will help those students who have scored quite well in 12th board in the state of Maharashtra. Hello Anthara Nanaware, I can appreciate your angst and anxiety. COEP ranks in the top five engineering colleges in the state of Maharashtra. However, there is no mention of any cutoff for admission to this college. Please try to understand. Admissions are not processed by the college. This job is done by the CET cell of govt of Maharashtra after the declaration of results of MHTCET. Students are to register with them and give preference for admission.
