However there are even better options available which you can go for. If you are eligible for Sinhgad you can apply for some other better colleges if you want and may also avail scholarships. As much as i know entry to MANET is done through IMU-CET, MANET is one of the very good college affilated by the Indian Maritime University,Chennai(A central university under Ministry of Shipping) . But it is itself private.
Well it has B.Tech Marine Engg and the cut off is very good.
The college is good. placements are a bit bad in current senario.
