Engineering Placement

Chandigarh University is a fully certified NAAC A+ university that has been recognized as the Best Placement University. Limca Book of World Records has given Chandigarh University a national award for the most firms attending campus placements in a single academic year. The university is well-known for its placement success. More than 115 firms chose 530 students from the Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, and Automobile Engineering branches for the Mechanical Engineering Department, giving compensation packages up to 9 LPA. Companies like Mahindra & Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, Essar Group, Jamna Autos, Indigo Airlines, TAFE, Royal Enfield, Hyundai, John Deere, and MRF have selected Automobile Engineering students, while companies like Reliance Industries, Godrej, Sanmar Group, Jindal Steel, Asahi Glass, Tata Power, Tata Technologies, and TAFE have selected Aviation Engineering students.

From the 3rd semester almost every student becomes eligible for campus placement. Companies like Google HDFC, Infosys, HCL Indian Railway, Compass ,Tata, Flipkart, Myntra and many more companies visit this college to offer placements. As this is a quite new college, it's highest package is a little bit low. It's on-campus highest package in 2021 was INR 12 Lacs per annum and the average package was around INR 4 Lacs per annum. As most of the students go for higher studies after this course, so the placement percentage is around 60%.
Internships Opportunities : Major companies like Tata, Indian Railway, HDFC, ICICI, Infosys, HCL, Flipkart, Myntra and many more companies visit this college to offer placements. The projects are mainly management-based. For noncore students, the programming knowledge should be high to be eligible for good placement.
