Good placement is only available in good colleges. For private colleges, you will have to pay higher fees but you can take admission. For Government or aided college, you will have to pass with good score in state level or national level engineering entrance exam to get a good college.

There are many state engineering colleges offering admission on merit-based. Just check few things like ROI, fee, placement record, student-faculty ratio and student reviews. Many colleges in MP, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand accept merit-based admissions.

Shipping and Marine are two different career streams. By shipping, we mean that you are getting into the logistics side but why Marine you are becoming the resource that executes work. From the engineering side, run the ships, manage the day to day shipping work, repairs engine, turbines etc. You can do a Masters in Marine Engineering as you've already done mechanical and get into marine life. This life looks lucrative in terms of money but has other consequences like you have to spend 6 months at home and 6 months on the sea. First, it depends on your interest level on the Branch. Next, is the duration of course. Are you okay to spend around 5+ years in the same course, and specialization at a stretch? If you are inclined to take up career in IT and Data-Science, Machine learning etc., then better opt for integrated course. ECE will be a bit tough, when compared to IT, and if you are very keen to go for ECE related jobs, then you can opt ECE from ISM. Keeping in view of placement opportunity and coding environment, it would be better if you to go for IIIT integrated course.

NIT-Trichy has great placements for CS and IT branches. The minimum package will come around 5-6 LPA.

Both are among the top engineering colleges of Gujarat. Nirma is better than LDCE in every aspect. Thus for placements also, Nirma is far better than LDCE. The highest package offered to CSE candidate of LDCE was 10 LPA by HSBC. And if we talk about Nirma University, the highest package offered for computer engineering is more than 20 LPA and companies participation is really good in Nirma as compared to LDCE.
