It's just because of the students. Most companies expect students to have no arrear at present situation. So some of the students may not get placement.
Here at Sathyabama, we are having a placement percent of 95 and an average salary of 4.5 LPA and the highest salary package of 32 LPA. And 3 percent of the students are going abroad for higher studies.

Yes, even civil engineers get placed during the placement season in engineering colleges.

Don't even think that just after doing B.Tech CSE you can get the job in Apple or Google type companies. Apart from your academics, these companies do consider several other factors to give you the job. India produces lacs of IT engineers annually. You have to proof the best among them. Let me clarify you in detail:
(1) For academics, do B.Tech & M.Tech in CSE from institution like IITs or NITs. Most desirable combination is B.Tech+M.Tech+MBA. It is preferred if you do your Masters from abroad. Stanford or Wharton.
(2) Your extra circular activity; since you are in 11th class, try to participate in your schools club activiti

There are many engineering entrance exams in India. But there a few that are important and necessary for admission into top colleges.
Some of the top exams are:

There are plenty of institutions in India that are offering courses in aircraft maintenance engineering. But, unfortunately, no unbiased organization has ranked these and hence it's not correct to put these in order of merit. I suggest you seek admission to the college nearest to you and check on its placements record. That's it.
