We can't say robotics and automotive are best in India. There are not much institutes which exclusively have Robotics and Automotive Engineering branches. But, IITs, NITs, IIITs, and top autonomous and private universities are best in fields like Electronics, Embedded Systems, and Communication Systems. Robotics is includes various subjects like Digital Electronics, Microprocessors/ Micro-Controllers. So, getting into any of the top-50 engineering institute and studying in Mechanical/Electronics/Computer Science can move into the field of Robotics and Automotive.

There are few colleges which offers courses exclusively in the field of robotics. You can find the same in the below link. Most of the subjects which are integral part of Robotics are part of curriculum of most top institutes. Subjects like Digital Electronics, Power Systems, Electronics and Instrumentation, Analog/Digital Communication, Embedded Systems are few of those.
