n the Engineering category, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras bagged the first place. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi have been ranked second and third respectively.
The list is predominantly occupied by IITs with 8 IITs in the Top 10 list. Anna University and Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai are the other two engineering institutes who have managed to make an entry in the top ten engineering institute list.
While there are many colleges which are new to the list, there are some which have not found a spot for themselves in the rankings released this year.

Hi, there is no as such specific branch or faculty which needed to study prior to preparation of UPSC. UPSC has no connection with branch of engineering. But if you ask for government exam then EEE, ECE, MEC are best. You can get job in DRDO, DRDL, and ISRO. CSE and IT don't have good scope in government jobs.

Both depends on the branch mainly but autonomous colleges are always the best rather than vtu.
