From available data, it could be assessed that NIT Surathkal and NIT Warangal are the most preferred NITs among students who want to do B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Approximately 95% of the graduates in the 2021 batch were placed in Mechanical Engineering at NIT Warangal, with a salary package of up to 37 LPA. Similarly, Mechanical Engineering branch graduates of NIT Surathkal also got good placements in the previous batch with the highest salary package of Rs. 31.5 LPA. Therefore, from a career perspective, NIT Warangal is currently the best.
