There is a very little scope of chemical engineering in India but a great scope abroad. NIT-Jalandhar is good. But you have to do work hard to go abroad.

It is a good course to choose. The scope is great as these engineers design and develop control systems, manage and maintain, and troubleshoot existing control systems. They could be consulting or rendering technical support. You could take up an engineering course, say in Chemical or Mechanical branches. Instead of only a bachelor's degree, even integrated masters and bachelors course is also very well. Good analytical skills, math skills, and creative skills play the key role. Professional engineering exam and relevant work experience help you become competent in petroleum engineering job.

It has a good scope, in fact, both in the government sector and the private divisions. One can enrol as food quality inspector in areas of quality assurance, purchasing management, food equipment, food safety, research, teaching, food preservation, product development, etc.
