Petroleum engineering is a branch of engineering that deals with the study of techniques and methods to extract petroleum and natural gas. It involves study of extraction, purification, manufacture and utilization of oil, gas, and liquefiable hydrocarbons.
Career prospects are quite attractive in petroleum sector as petroleum companies have great influence and offer attractive salaries to employees. The salary increases with the experience 20-40 lacs pa.

Increasing demand for improved medical devices and systems is promoting research in various fields such as Bio-mechanics, Medical Imaging, Bio Signal Processing and Biosensors. Career options for medical engineers include working in research labs, hospitals for medical equipment maintenance and developing medical software.
