BA is not a job oriented graduation degree. If you do not want to do B.Tech then BBA can be a good option for you. It not only will help you to get a job in the banking sector but also in private sector in other types of industries.

I assume that you didn't opt for science stream in 10+2. If you did not have Maths, Physics and Chemistry in 10+2 then you may not meet the eligibility criteria in a majority of Indian and international universities for B.Tech in Petroleum Engineering.

Indian IT industry is in slow down phase because of outcry against outsourcing in the western world and increasing restrictions by developed countries in issuing the work visa. In addition, heavy use of automation is leading to job losses. IT jobs are flowing back to developed countries and all major IT companies are hiring local candidates in developed countries.
