With Indian Computer Software Industry losing it's prime position and likely job losses forcasted in industry in next few years, ECE is the best branch to opt as of now. Electronics is impacting every walk of human life and will continue. Similarly, Telecom industry is now preparing for next generation shift to 5G even before 4G roll out is over. IOT is the Technology of future. Therefore, I am the opinion Electronics & Telecom Engineering grads have good opportunities for growth in next 10 years.

Among all these branches of engineering, maximum scope is there for software engineering and networking.Since many people opt for software engineering, you need to be very skilled to get placed in a good company and also with a good salary. The colleges are very important especially for these courses.
Though many colleges offer these courses, all are not good for it. So choose the right college.

There might not be a demand for electronics engineers as many opt for electronics and communication engineering or electronics and electrical engineering.
But there will be a demand for those who excel in their domain means those who are highly talented. Simply good engineers and as automation takes place in a huge manner, an electronics engineer will be essential.

Dear,
Placement opportunities depend on the college interaction with companies, brand name and it also depend on a particular person skills, knowledge, understanding, personality, commitment and dedication.
Average salary starts from Rs 3.5 lakhs PA to 7 lakhs PA and could be high as it depends on both factors which I have mentioned already.
