It is better, if you pursue management studies directly after completing mechanical engineering.
Reasons: You will be get hired by top company through college placement as being studied from good ranking college. From beginning, you will get better pay package without much struggle with better job position and further opportunities.

Chemical engineering is a specialist branch & not offered by many colleges. But computers is offered almost everywhere. Hence, chemical engineering is considered tough.

IIT's at Mumbai, Kharagpur & Kanpur take pride places followed by other colleges. You will have to clear JEE Advanced by a good score to get there. I am attaching a link for a list of other colleges.
