PGDM and MBA, both have the same value. In India, only universities can offer an MBA degree. As a result, most of the top colleges in India like IIMs, XLRI offer PGDM only. So, your choice must only depend on the quality of the college and not the title of the course.

Yes, it is possible. For MBA, you need to have a Bachelor degree in any field. So, you can have a Bachelor degree in Engineering (BE or B.Tech) and opt for MBA on completion.
