Yes, the university provides lateral entry or direct admission to the second year of BTech course. A pass in Class 12 with any three of the followed subjects: Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject / Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship with at least 50% aggregate in specified subjects (40% aggregate for reserved category) in the subjects taken together is required to apply for the BTech course. Aspirants who have passed Diploma with a minimum duration of three years with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the first year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted can also apply.It must be noted that the mentioned minimum aggregate is as per unofficial sources. The total fee of BTech at SSPU Pune is INR 19.16 lakh. This fee is inclusive of tuition fee amount of INR 11.08 lakh, hostel fee of INR 7.95 lakh, and one-time fee of INR 13,000. Candidates are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats. In case, a candidate is unable to pay the fee within the specified time, his or her admission will stand cancelled. Candidates will also require to pay a registration fee to apply for admission.
