The NIT Meghalaya M.Tech course admission is subject to the fulfilment of eligibility and selection criteria. If you have made a spelling error in your father's name, it can be correct from the official website of the examination authority in the correction period from the correction window. But as you have mentioned that, you are asking to correct it in the counselling process, it may be difficult for you. If the correction period is over, you need to contact the authorities and you  can contact the NTA helpline number between 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM.

Both NIT Meghalaya and NIT Calicut are good options to pursue MTech. However, in terms of affordability, NIT Meghalaya is more affordable since the tuition fees to pursue M.Tech at NIT Meghalaya range from INR 69,500 to INR 1.4 lakh, and the tuition fee to pursue M.Tech at NIT Calicut ranges from INR 1.4 Lacs to INR 3.3 lakh.Note: The fee mentioned above is as per the official sources.
